SPENCER: Albert J. Rogers,84, of Spencer, died Friday, Aug. 23 in Life Care Center of Auburn with his loving wife by his side. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Linda A. (Arsenault) Rogers, his son; Eric E. Rogers and his wife Laura of Monson, his grandson; Thomas Rogers, and his niece Gina Rivers, his nephew Kevin Scarpone and his wife Gail and his nephew Raymond Scarpone. He is predeceased by a brother; Francis Rogers and a sister Sophie Scarpone. Al was a longtime heavy equipment operator for G.F. Wright Co. in Worcester and a forklift driver for Brookfield Wire before retiring in 2014. He was a member of Charlton City United Methodist Church.
Al loved spending time with his family and his two grand puppies. He loved deep sea fishing, traveling and spending time in Maine and Cape Cod. His very favorite point of interest was Alaska where he visited twice. He also took pride in maintaining his yard and landscape. Calling hours for Al will be held on Thursday, September 5th, from 5 to 7 P.M. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 6th at 11 A.M. in the Charlton City United Methodist Church, 74 Stafford St., Charlton. All are welcome.
