A.Marion Kennedy

NO.BROOKFIELD/SPENCER: A.Marion (Makynen) Kennedy,89, of Pomfret, Ct., and formerly of No.Brookfield and Spencer, died Thursday, June 27th. in Davis Place Nursing Home, Danielson, Ct. She was the wife of Wallace Kennedy who died in 2012. She leaves her sons; Vic J. Vangel and his wife Susan of Paxton and George N. Vangel and his wife Lisa of Putnam, CT., 5 grandchildren; Kyle, Bryan, Jessica, Ashley and John and 3 great grandchildren; Oliver, Arthur and Ella.
She was born in Spencer, the daughter of John and Anna (Pajula) Makynen and later graduated from David Prouty High School in 1953. She went on to work at State Mutual Insurance Co. in Worcester for many years before her retirement.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd. at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. A calling hour will precede the services from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Pomfret Community Housing, 400 Deerfield Rd., Pomfret, CT. 06259.
