Andrew "Don" Rodgers

EAST BROOKFIELD: Andrew "Don" Rodgers 80, of Harrington Lane, died Monday, Sept. 10 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves his ex-wife, Connie (Earley) Keefe, three sons Robert Rodgers of Worcester, William Rodgers of LasVegas, Nev., and Andrew Rodgers of Charlton, three daughters Sheila Siretz of Clearwater Fl., Julie Gallant and her husband Mark of Spencer and Robin Rodgers Walles and her husband Timothy of E.Brookfield with whom he lived, three sisters Joan Lavoie and Carol Sullivan of Worcester and Mary Hoogasian of Spencer, 13 grandchildren; Douglas, Jennifer, Rilee, Jessica, Joshua, Chantal, Seth, Jonathan, January, Matthew, Whitney, Mackensie and Wyatt, great grandchildren; Anthony, Jason, Jacob, Blossum, Bobby and Jace, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers David, James and Jackie Rodgers of Worcester and half brothers Leo Mantha of Shrewsbury and Richard Mantha of Worcester.

Don was a payload operator for Granger-Lynch Corp. (formerly Bayer & Mingolla Corp.) in Millbury for over 27 years, retiring in 1993 due to illness. Previously he worked at the Highland Restaurant in Worcester for 13 years. He was a member of the Teamster's Local 170 in Worcester. He was a former candle pin bowler in the Worcester City and Social Leagues. He was an avid golfer.

Born in Auburn, he was the son of Alphonse and Ethel (Crandell) Radzik and was raised in Charlton and Worcester. He later served his country as a Sgt. in the Army Medical Corps in Korea. He was awarded the Commendation Ribbon & Medal Pendant, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Presidential Unit Citation and the National Defense Service Medal.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 14 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, No. Brookfield Rd., E.Brookfield. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
