Ann M. Blaisdell

EAST BROOKFIELD; Ann M. (Lennerton) Blaisdell, 81, passed away in the comfort of her home on
February 9 after a short illness. Ann was born on March 18, 1942 in Leicester to Rita A. (Williamson) and Gerald F. Lennerton. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy and attended Worcester State College. Ann worked for many years in the health insurance field, retiring from Fallon Health Insurance. Ann is survived by her daughter, Debra Ritzer and her partner, Kenneth Murphy of Medford, her son, David Blaisdell and his wife, Sandra of Spencer; her two grandsons, Zachary Mahan and his wife, Amanda and Gabriel Blaisdell; a step-granddaughter, Casey Gregson; her two sisters, Susan Lennerton and Joan Whitney and her husband, Russell, as well as several nieces and a nephew. Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Harry R. Blaisdell, in 2020. Upon marriage, Ann and Harry made East Brookfield their home and here they raised their family and embraced the joys of small town life. She proudly served on the Spencer-East Brookfield School Committee as well as the district's scholarship committee. Ann loved nothing more than sitting on the shore of Lake Lashaway and watching the eagles soar with her dear friends and neighbors. She loved the many trips she and Harry took to Ogunquit, Maine and Saratoga Springs, New York. A cup of tea, a good book and a view of the sunrise over the lake were Ann's simple pleasures. A summer band concert would be the icing on the cake. Ann held her family and circle of friends tightly. She wished for nothing more than time to be together and laughter to be shared. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 16 at 11 A.M. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield. A calling hour will precede the service from 10-11 A.M. In honor of Ann's love of dogs donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Services, P.O. Box 136 East Brookfield, MA 01515.
