SPENCER: Anne M. (Morrisseau) Snow, 86, of Spencer, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Mother's Day, May 11th.She was the wife of Arthur A. Snow who died in 1996. She leaves her daughters; Suzanne Snow of Littleton and Karen Snow of Spencer with whom she lived, her son; Michael Moore and his wife Sherry of Sutton, her sister; Doris Dufault of Southbridge, brothers; Lionel, Robert and Albert Morrisseau, grandson; Ryan Moore of Dudley, granddaughters; Sara Francoise and her husband Dave of Woonsocket, RI, Kristyn Perry and Rachel Perry of Spencer, great grandchildren; Sarah and Wyatt Santiago, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sisters; Rita Morrisseau and Marianne Carter.
Anne was a licensed practical nurse for Community Healthlink for 35 years, retiring in 2002. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Lionel and Lucienne (Rouleau) Morrisseau and later graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer and David Hale Fanning Trade School in Worcester. She later went on to serve her country with the US Army during the Vietnam War. She was a life member of the Gaudette-Kirk American Legion Post 138 in Spencer and was awarded the "Quilt of Valor" in 2022. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish and once served on the Spencer Historic Commission. She once was a volunteer for the local "Meals on Wheels"
A Memorial Service for Anne will be held on Wednesday, May 21st. at 11 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Veterans Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
