Barbara L. Sroka

LEICESTER: Barbara L. (Todd) Sroka, 90, formerly of the Rochdale section of Leicester died Saturday, March 31 in Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing and Rehab. Center after an illness.

Her husband Frank P. Sroka, Sr. died in 2005. She leaves four sons Frank P. Sroka, Jr. and his wife Linda of Salem, CT; Steven A. Sroka and his wife Thelma of Broadalbin, NY; David A. Sroka and his wife Cindy of Bethany Beach, DE and Mark T. Sroka and his wife Elaine of Land 'O Lakes, Fl.; a sister Genevieve Merrill and her husband John of Manchester, NH; a brother Leonard A. Todd of Lompoc, CA; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister Helen Selvin.

Mrs. Sroka was born in Hartford, Ct, daughter of Leonard C. and C. Louise (Hamlin) Todd. She graduated from North High School in Worcester in 1940 and the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City. After raising her family she went to work as a secretary at MA Credit Union Share Insurance Corp.in Worcester. She was a member of the Leicester Women's club and both the (former) Chestnut Street Congregational and United Congregational Church of Worcester. She enjoyed needlework, reading, music, crossword puzzles and collecting angels.

Funeral services and burial in Rural Cemetery, Worcester are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to Holy Trinity Hospice, 1183 Main St., Worcester, MA 01603. MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing arrangements.
