Bernard V. Adams

Bernard V. "Vinnie" Adams 84 formerly of 97 Waite St., died Sunday Aug. 8 at his daughter's home in Fla.He was the husband of Rita C. (Facteau) Adams who died in 2000. He leaves a daughter, Bonnie J. Borden of Silver Springs, Fla. with whom he lived, a step-son Howard M. Marchand of S.Grafton, a step daughter Beverly A. Gossen of Santa Fe, NM., 10 grand and 12 great grandchildren. A son, Roger B. Adams died in 2003. Mr. Adams was a field serviceman at Morgan Construction Co. in Worcester for 10 years, retiring in 1982. Previously, he worked at U.S. Steel & Wire in Worcester for 28 years. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and Korean Wars.Born in Fitchburg, he was the son of Joseph G. and M.Dora (Tautant) Adams.A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16th. in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waite St., Leicester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, 01605.
