LEICESTER: Bertha I. Moran, 88, of 1075 Main died Saturday, Aug. 11 surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband Russell F. Moran died in 2010. She leaves a son Thomas Moran and his companion Deborah Heckman of Houston,TX, two daughters Linda Bourie and her husband George of Leicester and Susan Wyco of Leicester, two sisters Mary Baribeault of Charlton and Mildred Moran of Acadia,FL, seven grandchildren Jennifer Vibber and her husband Jeffrey, Amie Nemes and her husband William, Melissa Dupuis and her husband Christopher, Spiro Mantzio, Christina Mantzio, Danielle Dulugas and Dustin Moran, seven great-grandchildren Jordan & Ashleigh Nemes, Olivia Copson, Emily & Erik Dupuis and Caleb & Alissa Hesselton, a God-daughter Margaret Carr of North Brookfield and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers Reginald and Robert Farr and three sisters Evelyn Mangan, Lillian Herrick and Margaret Moran.

Mrs. Moran was born in Providence, R.I., daughter of Reginald W. and Mary (McComb) Farr. She worked as a stitcher for Brookfield Shoe and then became a nurse's aide at Wayside Nursing Home in Worcester and also did private duty nursing. She loved to laugh and to tell funny family stories. She was a huge Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 18 at 11:00AM in Faith Baptist Church, 22 Faith Ave., Auburn. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to VNA Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
