NO.BROOKFIELD: Blaise B. Baker,72, of Elm St., No.Brookfield, died Monday, Dec. 11th. in Medway Country Manor, Medway after an illness.
He leaves his sisters; Mary D. Baker-Wood of Spencer, Nancy E. Billings and her husband William of No. Brookfield and Kathryn F. Partridge and her husband Lester of Brookfield; his brothers Garrett Baker and his wife Brenda of No.Brookfield and Peter Baker and his wife Melissa Meleen of Barre, several nieces and nephews.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Frank J. and Mary G. (Toomey) Baker and later graduated from David Prouty High School '69, earned a Bachelor's Degree in History from Worcester State College '73 and his Master's Degree in International Studies from Ohio State University in 1980. He served in Kenya with the Peace Corps from 1976-79 and then taught English classes in Osaka, Japan for a year. Blaise was the manager at St. Joseph's Abbey Gift Shop & Book Store until 2020.
A graveside service will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Rte 31, Spencer at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Abbey, 167 North Spencer Road, Spencer MA, 01562, in memory of Blaise.
The J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is assisting the family with arrangements.
