Carl F. Stone

ROCHDALE: Carl F. Stone, 76, of Rochdale, passed away after a brief illness on June 19, 2026.

He is survived by his mother, Miriam (Frisbee) Stone; his wife of 46 years, Carol A. (Brown) Stone; his daughters, Martha E. Stone (Jill) of Brooklyn, NY, and Meghan A. Stone (Christopher) of Milford, MA; his siblings, Christopher H. Stone (Cindy) of Ossipee, NH, and Amy B. Stone of Little Falls, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Harley O. Stone.

Carl was a 1974 graduate of the New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, Boston, and worked 33 years as an Operating Room nurse at UMass Memorial, University Campus, Worcester, before retiring in 2011.

Carl was an avid reader of many subjects, a Civil War buff, an active outdoor hiker, and was proficient in the Japanese martial art of Judo. He enjoyed poker tournaments and attending various flea markets and estate sales.

A private memorial service and burial will take place later at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local food bank in his name.
