SPENCER: Charles V. Shea, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 with his wife by his side. He is survived by his wife of 15 years Diane (Sabetti) Fournier Shea of Spencer; her sons: Andrew Fournier of Watertown and Stephen Fournier and his wife, Dawn of Millis; grandchildren, Julia Fournier of Maynard and Isabella Fournier of Millis; his sisters: Karen Rivers and her husband Danny of West Wareham and Kathleen Shea of Belmont; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His siblings: Rosemary Delvecchio, Robert Shea, and Richard Shea predeceased him. Brandon and Alicia Egan, who held a very special place in Charlie’s heart.

Charles was born in Cambridge and raised in Waltham, the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Dwyer) Shea. he graduated from Waltham high school in 1967 before enlisting with the United States Marine corps. Charles worked as a lineman for the telephone company now known as Verizon. After retiring he worked for The Department of Public Works for the town of Barnstable to stay busy. He enjoyed traveling, a favorite destination, being Hawaii. He rebuilt a 1959 Ford Fairlane and drove it to all the local car shows. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle down at Daytona bike week and through the deserts in Arizona and New Mexico.
