Charles J. Sliwoski

Charles J. Sliwoski,93, of 43 Jolicoeur Ave., formerly of the
Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Friday, Oct. 28 at St. Vincent
Hospital in Worcester.
He was the husband of Mary T. (Wojnarowicz) Sliwoski who died in 2000. He
leaves two sons David C. and his wife Arlene Sliwoski of Dennisport, and
Michael S. and his wife Linda Sliwoski of Spencer with whom he lived, two
brothers John and Joseph Sliwoski of Worcester, three grand children
Nathaniel, Joanna and Kara Sliwoski, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sliwoski was a mason at Wyman Gordon Co. in Grafton where he worked for
25 years, retiring in 1977. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of
the Cherry Valley American Legion Post, St. Joseph's Church in Leicester,
Knights of Columbus Council 4528- Fourth Degree in Leicester, Polish
American Veterans in Worcester, Greendale Retired Men's Club, and its golf
league. He was an avid golfer and a former member of Hillcrest C.C. in
Leicester.
Born in Holden, he was the son of Francis and Katherine Sliwoski.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's
Church, 60 maple St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery,
Worcester with Military Honors. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 to 7p.m.
