SPENCER: Chester "Chet" E. McDonald, Jr., 78, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025.  He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joanne (Bergeron) McDonald of Spencer; his son Aaron McDonald and his wife Kel of Leicester; 2 grandchildren: Rachel Bont and her husband Josh of Worcester and Timothy Johnson of Worcester; his sister Susan Canane and her husband Jeffrey of Charlton; his brother Peter McDonald and his wife Deborah of Fitchburg; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his dog, who he adored, Brady.  Chet was predeceased by: his son Chester E. McDonald, III and his daughter Cheryl Johnson.

Chet was born in Worcester and raised in Leicester.  He graduated from Leicester High School and where he met and soon after he married his high school sweetheart, Joanne on December 14, 1965.  They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.  He worked for many HVAC companies before he started his own company, McDonald Heating Air Conditioning Plumbing, Inc.  Chet grew his company over decades of hard work, solid reputation and honesty until his retirement.  Chet and Joanne rode Harley Davidson motorcycles their whole lives, riding all over the US and they were active members of the Worcester Mass Chapter 3811 Harley Owners Group.  He was also a member of Auburn/ Webster Elks Lodge #2118, he enjoyed playing darts and Bingo, the family enjoyed seasonal camping and Chet was always "tinkering" on small engines and could fix anything.
