SPENCER: Christopher McInnes, 68, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at his home. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gail M. (Tyksienski) McInnes of Spencer; his daughter, Amy B. McInnes and her fiancé Joe Baillargeon of Westbrook, ME; his brother, Michael McInnes; his sister-in-law, Carol A. Tyksienski of Spencer.
Christopher was born and raised in Worcester, the son of the late Patrick and Dorothy (LeClaire) McInnes. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies at Assumption College in 1989 and earned his Master of Arts in Criminal Justice at Anna Maria College in 1992. Christopher worked for the Worcester Fire Department for 7 years and finished his 40 years for the City of Worcester as a Police Officer. He retired in 2019. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Police Officers, the Massachusetts Police Association, the Anna Maria Alumni Association, the Assumption College Alumni Association and was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Spencer. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Worcester VNA for their assistance in the care of Chris.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer, burial will follow in Mary Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer, MA 01562.
