Cindy L. Chanis

SPENCER: Cindy L. (Hoar) Chanis, 65, of Jolicoeur Ave. died Sunday, June 29 in UMass Memorial Hospital after an illness.

She leaves her husband Christopher P. Chanis, a brother Ernest R. Shoar and his wife Sharon of Auburn, a sister Linda L. Cestodio and her companion James W. Davis of Charlton, 4 nephews Dana Iverson, Sean Gagnon, Alexander Chanis, Gabriel Chanis six nieces Kelly Iverson, Kina Iverson, Shari Beaudry, Kristen Shoar-Smith, Jessica Shoar-Billings and Claire Chanis and many great-nieces and nephews.

Cindy was born in Worcester, daughter of Ernest R. and Vera E. (Francoeur) Hoar. She was a production operator at Saint Gobain-Norton Co. retiring this year. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, shopping, music, dancing and enthusiastically sharing her own opinion.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, July 2 at 6:30 PM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. A calling period will precede the service from 5:00-6:30. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
