Claire L. Menard

FISKDALE: Claire L. (Lachapelle) Menard, 89, died Monday, July 15 at UMass Hospital, Lake Ave., Worcester, surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of David H. Menard, who died in 1999. She leaves a son, David A. Menard and his wife Colleen of Fiskdale, two daughters, Linda J. Cutting and her husband Robert of, Sebastian, FL., Pamela J. Marengo of Leicester, a sister, Jacqueline Jolie and her husband Richard of Grafton, and five grandchildren; Sean Edson and Pam Vitter, Jason Edson and Sara Castonguay, Tyler and Gloria Marengo, Jescelle Marengo, Jennifer and Jim Parisi, Jeffrey and Sue Cutting, and nine great-grandchildren: Levi, Ryan, Astor, Aria, Emily, Ashley, Daniel and Samuel.
She was predeceased by a brother Normand Lachapelle. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Roland & Lucienne (Brodeur) Lachapelle.
Mrs. Menard was a graduate of Holy Name High School and Quinsigamond College in Worcester. She worked as a controller for over 20 years at Central Coating Company in West Boylston, retiring in 2007. She was a past member of St. Pius X Church in Leicester. She enjoyed traveling and had traveled all over the world. She loved fast cars and at one point owned a Porsche that she loved and drove really well. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held July 23rd at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester.
