David S. Ramsey Jr.

SPENCER: David S. Ramsey, Jr. 69, of Howe Village, died Saturday, Feb.20 in St. Vincent's Hospital, Worcester surrounded by family.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Audrey J. (McCallie) Ramsey, his son Samuel D. Ramsey and his fiance Emily Hicks of Troutman, NC., his daughters Tina L. Cosentino and her husband Ronald of Medfield, Vickie M. Atwater and her fiance Thomas Downey of Worcester and Michele L. Ramsey and her fiance Joshua Tetreault of W.Brookfield, a brother Steven Ramsey and his wife Pauline of Spencer, a sister Donna Messier and her husband Roland of Ft. Myers, Fl., nine grandchildren; Erin, Katelyn, Christopher, Britney, Nicholas, Matthew, John, Jessica and Samantha, nieces and nephews.
David was a financial planner for American Express, I.D.S. for more than 20 years, retiring in 1997.
Born in Provincetown, he was the son of David S. Ramsey, Sr. and Mary E. (Avila) and lived in Spencer all of his life.He graduated from David Prouty High School then served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He later earned an Associates Degree from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. Dave, was a Spencer Firefighter for more than 20 years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Spencer and was an avid outdoors man. A Memorial Service will be held for David on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Calling hours will precede the service on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Spencer Firefighters Association 11 W.
