David worked as a Shop Manager and Maintenance Mechanic at Security Engineered Machinery in Westborough and Ken's Foods in Marlborough. He served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War while on the USS Dale. He was a member of the Millbury Federated Church. David lived his life with intention, integrity, and a deep sense of family. A patriarch, he remained devoted to those he loved until the very end. Some of his happiest moments were the simplest ones - enjoying a good burger on the grill and a cold drink surrounded by his sons and their families or a quiet meet up for a "Cuppa" coffee at any time of the day that was available for a quick chat. He was a proud and constant presence at his grandchildren's activities, whether on the sidelines of a football field, in the bleachers at a basketball game, or leaning against the fence at a baseball diamond. Wherever they played, lovingly known as "Grumpa" he was there - cheering with unwavering pride, encouragement, and love.
The J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is assisting the family with arrangements. At David's request, there will be a private ceremony with immediate family at a later date. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Jaqui Casello, a cardiac nurse at UMass University Campus, whose extraordinary courage and quick action provided David with lifesaving care while she was off duty. Her selfless heroism gifted us the priceless blessing of a few more days together.
