David S. Tibbetts

LEICESTER: David S. Tibbetts, 78, of Leicester, died Thursday, August 13, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, in Worcester.

Born in Worcester on March 12, 1948, he was the son of the late Stanley M. Tibbetts and Irene D. (Reeves) Tibbetts. He was a graduate of Leicester High School.

David was a computer engineer with Digital Computer and was also employed by the Town of Leicester before his retirement. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Cherry Valley American Legion Post 443 and was a HAM radio operator.

David leaves his sister, Judith McMahon of Holden, and seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn O’Brien.

At David’s request, no services are planned. Burial will be private in Hope Cemetery, Worcester, at the convenience of the family.
