Dewey Peter DeBrusk

LEICESTER: Dewey Peter DeBrusk, 86, of Leicester, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at home surrounded by his family.

He leaves his wife of 64 years, Patricia M. (Black) DeBrusk; his son, Michael DeBrusk and his partner Jennifer of Sawmills, NC; his daughter, Michelle DeBrusk of Worcester; his brother, Dexter “Skip” DeBrusk and his wife Caroline of Scituate; his nephew, Peter; four cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Jacob, Ashley and Andrew; and a beloved great-granddaughter, Ella. He was predeceased by his sons, David DeBrusk and Andrew DeBrusk.

Peter was born in Plymouth, the son of Dewhaurst L. and Anne R. (McFarland) DeBrusk. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree and worked as an X-Ray Technician at UMass Medical Center for 22 years until his retirement in 1998.

Peter honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 10 years as a Hospital Corpsman and proudly served during the Vietnam War.

Peter had a love of jazz music and photography. He enjoyed model boat building, traveling with his wife Patricia, and was an avid bike rider. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who treasured the time spent with his family.

At Peter’s request, there are no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
