Donna M. Hartness

LEICESTER: Donna M. (Krasinskas) Hartness, 76, of Leicester, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 25th at her home following a long illness.

She leaves her husband of 56 years, Dana M. Hartness, her daughters; Kristin J. Hartness of Leicester and Ashely A. Parusa and her husband Christopher of Myrtle Beach, SC., and her son Joshua M. Hartness of Colebrook, NH., her brothers; George Krasinskas, Jr and his wife Carla of Boylston and Richard Krasinskas and his wife Gloria of Worcester, several nieces and nephews.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of George J. and Gladys E. (Danforth) Krasinskas, Sr. A graduate of South High School in Worcester and Fitchburg State College her love of children and education led her to operate a home-based day care for many years.

She was a member of the Leicester Mother's Club, and the Leicester Senior Center especially enjoying their Book Club.

She was a longtime member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Worcester where she organized acolytes, ushers and taught Sunday school for many years. Donna's faith was strong and she worked to encourage the same in those around her.

She said being a wife and mother were never a sacrifice, they were her everything.

She was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17th in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 921 Pleasant St., Worcester. A calling hour will precede the service from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Canines for Disabled Kids Scholarship Fund, 65 James St., Suite 210, Worcester, MA 01603. The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is directing arrangements for the family.
