Donna Marie Marhefka

SPENCER: Donna Marie (Popowicz) Marhefka,75, of Howe Village, died Friday, Sept. 19th at UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester.
She leaves her sons; Walter Marhefka and his wife Elizabeth of No.Brookfield, Dennis Marhefka and his wife Laurie of Gilford, NH, Jason Marhefka and his wife Kimberly of Skowhegan, ME., and Derek Marhefka and his wife Stacy of Spencer, her daughters; Lisa Briggs of Danielson, CT., and Stacy France and her husband James of Rutland, her sister; Charlene Carrington of Leicester, 23 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins and grand-puppies. She is predeceased by her son; Jeffrey Marhefka in 2015, her brothers; Alan "Moose" Popowicz , Robert Popowicz and Paul Popowicz and a nephew Kenneth Carrington.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Theodore and Charlotte (Erikson) Popowicz. Donna was a loving mother and Nana who enjoyed spending her time surrounded by her beloved family. She enjoyed the ocean and fishing. Donna worked in the deli dept. at Price Chopper in Spencer and Worcester for many years. She was a member of the Distant Thunder Motorcycle Association in Millbury.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27th at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the church. Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 26th. from 4-7 p.m., in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. A Celebration of Life for Donna, will be held at the White Eagle immediately following the Mass on Green Street, Worcester
