Doris L. Berger

SPENCER: Doris L. (Collette) Berger 93, of 28 Lake St., died Wednesday, Feb. 20 at her home.

She was the wife of Alphonse J. Berger who died in 2003. She leaves a daughter Rosalie Faugno and her husband Robert of Spencer, grandchildren; Wayne Faugno and his wife Michelle of No.Andover, Kristy Delage and her husband Keith of Leicester and Todd Faugno of Boston, four great grandchildren; Kira, Cole, Dyllan and Ryan, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Emile and Donald Collette.

Doris owned and operated the former Dor-El's Gift Shop in Spencer for 10 years, retiring in 1972.

She was born in Spencer, the daughter of Edmond J. and Exilda (Cournoyer) Collette. She graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Beacon Hospice for the exceptional care given Doris before she died.

Private graveside services will be held in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
