Doris M. Palmer

SPENCER: Doris M. (Lagerstrom) Palmer, 86, formerly of 50 Lambs Grove died Friday, Nov. 16 in Knollwood Nursing Center after an illness.

Her husband John Palmer, Jr. died in 2008. She leaves a son Jeffrey J. Palmer and his wife Brenda of North Brookfield, a daughter Dawn Mathews of Ft. Myers, FL, three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother Hilding Lagerstrom and two sisters Pauline Auren & Shirley Flynn.

Mrs. Palmer was born in Worcester, daughter of John H. and Agnes (Carlson) Lagerstrom. She graduated from Commerce High School. She was a receptionist for 15 years at the former Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester retiring in 1989. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Central MA Bowling League. The family would like to thank Summit Eldercare in Charlton for their compassionate care.

Calling hours will be held Monday, Nov. 19 from 4:30-6:30 PM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 PM at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester will be at the convenience of the family.
