Dorothy M. Catlow

SPENCER: Dorothy M. (Williams) Catlow,83, of Spencer, MA, and formerly of Rhode Island, died Thursday, Sept. 21 at UMASS Memorial Hospital, Worcester.

Dotty leaves her husband of 61 years, Robert J. Catlow, Sr., her son, Robert Catlow Jr., and daughter, Donna (Catlow) Viens, and her treasured son-in-law Alan.  She was the beloved grandmother (Nana) of Nicholas Catlow and his wife Amanda, Kaitlin (Catlow) Mizzoni, Victoria Viens, Brandon Catlow, Gabriel Viens, Dakota Viens and his wife Hannah, Jarett Viens and his wife Bryana, Jessica Catlow, Ayden Viens and Hunter Viens.  She was adored by her 9 great-grandchildren, Aivah, Brielle, Mason, Robert, Isabella, Sophia, Jackson, Marshall, and Malcolm.  She also leaves behind her furry companion, Sissy.

Fondly referred to as "Aunt Dot" by many who knew her.  She had an infectious smile, a warm laugh, and a generous heart.  She could be found cheering on her beloved Boston Red Sox, watching the rain fall, or making homemade personalized birthday cards. She will be missed dearly by all who sought her advice, a concerned and loving ear, or a shoulder to cry on. Whether far or near, Nana never missed the opportunity to video chat with her babies or call to sing happy birthday.

She was born in Providence, RI, and lived for many years in West Warwick, RI, Palm Bay, FL, and Attleboro, MA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 12 p.m. at the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fireman's Club at 645 Oakland Beach Ave. Warwick, RI.
