EAST BROOKFIELD: Elaine E. Fahey, 93, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 29, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Charles A. "Bud" Fahey, Sr. She is survived by her sons: Michael C. Fahey of Hawaii, Kevin D. Fahey and his wife Sheila, Thomas C. Fahey and his wife Jennifer and Charles "Chuck" Fahey, Jr. and his wife Carol all of East Brookfield; her daughter: Bamby J. Antone and her partner Ricardo Mendez of Humble, TX; 9 grandchildren: Jilian, Patrick, Clayton, Connor, Ryan, Cameron, Olivia, Logan, and Lily; 6 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her brothers; David & Alan Parker predeceased her. Elaine was born in Spencer, the daughter of Kenneth M. and Amy E. (Warren) Parker. She grew up in Spencer on Twin Elms Farm, a dairy farm that eventually transitioned into a poultry farm. She was the only girl in a family with two brothers, so she was destined to be a tomboy and loved horseback riding and sports. Though her mother was a wonderful cook, she was only interested in learning to cook pies, cakes, cookies and candy because of her sweet tooth. She graduated from David Prouty High School in 1949 where she met and eventually married the love of her life, Bud. In 1955 they moved into the house next door to where she grew up, just across the East Brookfield/Spencer town line, to start their family. Elaine worked many years with Paul Revere Insurance Company in Worcester and ended her career there as an executive secretary, before retiring in 1994. She also worked in Spencer as a secretary for Antell Construction and for the Spencer-East Brookfield School System. Elaine & Bud always enjoyed camping, from the early years with their children in tents, to the later years with their grandchildren and friends in their fifth wheel trailers. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and would always attend the many sporting events that they were involved in. Around the holidays, Elaine could be found in her kitchen baking her famous pies for those she loved, with a grandchild or two by her side. Elaine loved her family more than anything and was always up for a game of pitch, rummy, or go-fish until the last weeks of her life. She was the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Wendy Kelly and Ashley Freniere-Brooks for the exceptional care they provided Elaine. We are deeply grateful.
