Elaine A. Potvin

SPENCER: Elaine A. (Cassavant) Potvin, 74, of Spencer, is gone to meet her Savior in heaven, her eternal home, on Wednesday, Nov. 13th. She was the wife of Robert N. Potvin, who died in 1970.She leaves her son, Robert N. Potvin with whom she lived, her sister; Leona Lacroix of Spencer, her brothers; Andrew Cassavant, Jr. and his wife Rose, and John Cassavant all of Spencer, as well as several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best friend, David Benoit and his wife Sonya and their family in Stafford Springs, CT. She is predeceased by her daughter, Lucinda Lee Potvin, who died at birth in 1970, and her brothers, Ernest, Edmond and Stephen Cassavant.
Elaine was born in Worcester, the daughter of Andrew and Florence E. (MacDonald) Cassavant and later graduated from David Prouty High School in 1967.  She worked at T.J. Maxx Co. in Worcester for 28 years, retiring in 2015.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16th, at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr.,Spencer. A calling hour will precede the services from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Veterans, Inc. in honor of her brother John who fought in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart (69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01602.)
