Ellen R. Caissie

Ellen R. (Gubber) Caissie, 87, of 16 West Street in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Sunday, March 1 in Hubbard Regional Hospital in Webster after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 66 years, Edward J. Caissie, two sons Edward F. Caissie and his wife Carole of Spencer and David J. Caissie of Warren, a sister Joan I. Faneuf of Worcester, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three brothers William F., George J. & Francis J. Gubber and two sisters Lorraine P. Martel and Theresa M. Lippe.
She was born in Oxford, daughter of William A. and Mary (Strack) Gubber. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the Senior Citizen Club of Leicester and A.A.R.P. She enjoyed knitting, flowers, card games and country music.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 4 at 11:00 AM in MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will precede the funeral service from 10:00-11:00 AM.on Wednesday.
