Eric M. Jenkins

OAKHAM: Eric M. Jenkins, 41, of Oakham, died suddenly, on Thursday, Oct. 31st, in his home.

He leaves his wife of 16 years, Janelica (Lopez) Jenkins, and their beloved daughter; Aurora Mila Jenkins, his mother; Donna (Bourgeois) Jenkins of Billerica, and his sister; Kari Jenkins of Billerica.

Eric was born in Concord, the son of the late Thomas Jenkins. He graduated from Billerica High School and then served in the US Army as a Military Police Officer for five years. Eric was a third-generation service member. After his service, Eric earned his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Computer Science from UMASS Lowell.

After completing his education Eric was thrilled to have been recruited to Microsoft as a Software Engineer in what he described as his dream job.

Eric was a devoted husband, father, and family man. He was the patriarch of his family and loved being an uncle, son, and brother-in-law.  Eric and his wife enjoyed taking on new adventures together, having lived in multiple states along the East Coast, frequently returning to visit friends they made along the way. Eric will be remembered for his love and commitment to his family, his sense of humor, and his dedication to his country.

Calling hours at the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer, will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at his home, 532 New Braintree Road, Oakham, Ma. A memorial service and committal will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Services, P.O. Box 136, E.Brookfield, MA 01515.
