LEICESTER: Francis W. "Butch" Reynolds,86, of the Rochdale section of Leicester, passed away Monday, July 17th. in his home. He leaves his sister; Ruth Kinell of Brookfield, and several nieces and nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by brothers; William and Henry Reynolds and sisters; Anne Marie Rodwill and Joan Wood.
Butch worked and owned Tech Optical and spent many years as an auto mechanic prior to his retirement. Butch took pride in driving his 1932 Ford Deuce Coop and attending many different car shows and events like the local Summer Nationals. He relished in being inquisitive and showed interest in learning new things. He was an avid conversationalist and had a talent of making connections with people in the local communities. He gave back in many ways including sharing many great stories of his childhood with his siblings, times in the military skiing the Alps and adventures with friends he used to "run around with". Although Butch had no children of his own he spoke fondly of his nieces and nephews and shared wisdom to many younger generations over his lifetime.
He was born in Worcester, the son of William J and Anna F. (O'Connor) Reynolds and later served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at a later date in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is directing arrangements.
