LEICESTER/ROCHDALE; Gail A. (Monkley) Daoust, 72, died Wednesday, January 10 at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester. She leaves her husband of 53 years, Rene L. Daoust, Jr., a son, Jeffrey A. Daoust and his wife Susan of Lancaster, NY, a daughter, Andrea L. Figueroa and her husband Ben of Holden, a sister, Marsha E. Holm and her husband Daniel of Port St. Lucie, FL., four grandchildren; Maxwell, Myles, Nathan and Lucas.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Allen A. & Leona L. (Paquette) Monkley. Gail graduated from David Prouty High School Class of 69' and went on to be the Lake Street School secretary in the Spencer/East Brookfield School System for 24 years, retiring in 2010.  Gail loved being with her family and always wanted to help family and friends.  She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her kindness to everyone she knew, and the words she always told her grandchildren, "Grammy will always love you".

She was a member of the Greenville Baptist Church in Rochdale.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 16 at 11 A.M. in the Greenville Baptist Church 674 Pleasant St., Rochdale.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 A.M. in the church prior to the Service. Burial of ashes will be in Greenville Baptist Cemetery at a later date and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Gail's name to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
