Gail M. Picard

LEICESTER: Gail M. Picard, 71, of 1073 Main Street died Sunday, March 24 in Radius Healthcare after a long illness.

She leaves a son Michael J. Allard and his wife Beverly of Taunton, a daughter Karen M. Castro of Worcester, a sister Barbara Nolette of Charlton, three grandchildren Michael Castro, Calvin Washington and Ayla Allard and her former husband Richard N. Allard. She was pre-deceased by two grandchildren Brandon & Nicole Castro.

Gail was born in Worcester, daughter of Edward and Ethel (Figgins) Picard. She was a nurse's aide at St. Vincent Hospital before retiring. She was a hairdresser for many years. She began her career as a hairdresser at Shirley Louise Beauty Salon in Worcester before opening her own business, known as Gail's Beauty Shop in Worcester. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 27 at 2:00PM in MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be private at the convenience of the family at a later date. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 1:00-2:00 PM on Wednesday.
