George Jerome

LEICESTER: George Jerome, 76, died Monday, March 20, 2017 in Lanessa Extended Care in Webster after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 47 years, Sandra E. (Peters) Jerome, two brothers; Thomas Jerome and his wife Jo of Clearwater, FL and Robert Jerome and his wife Eileen of Dunedin, FL and several nieces and nephews.

George was born in Worcester, son of George and Florence A. (O'Brien) Jerome. He served his country Stateside during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy. He was a technician at Verizon for 20 years before retiring.He was a long time Ham Radio operator with the call sign W1OVT. He enjoyed fishing and amateur photography. He was a member of the Amateur Radio Association and the Cherry Valley American Legion Post 443.

At George's request no funeral services are planned. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing funeral arrangements.
