George E. Jette

George E. Jette,98, formerly of 75 Chestnut St., died Monday, May 9
at Quaboag on the Common in W.Brookfield after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Mary L. (Dragon) Jette who died in 1987.
He leaves five sons George A. and Ronald J.B. Jette both of Spencer, Roger
W. and Emile R. Jette both of Brookfield and Richard P. Jette of New Egypt,
N.J., 24 grand, 48 great grand and 17 great great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews. He is predeceased by a son Edward T. Jette and three daughters
Lucille Demers, Marie Letendre and Joanne Jette.
Mr. Jette was a shoeworker at the former Allen Squire Shoe Co. in Spencer
before retiring many years ago.
He enjoyed baseball and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Born in Spencer, he was the son of Jean B. and Elmire (Laprade) Jette.
The funeral will be held Thursday, May 12 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's
Church, 60 Maple St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the
Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 8:30
to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lupus
Foundation, 40 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701.
