AUBURN: George F. Greiner, Jr. 79, of 200 Oxford St. No., died suddenly Tuesday, Feb. 15 in Worcester.

He was the husband of Philipa (O'Connell) Greiner who died in 1960.

He leaves his sister Barbara A. Corley and her husband Paul of Rochdale, his longtime companion Christine Gaffney of Worcester, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sisters Louise Smith and Shirley Destratis.

George was born in Worcester, the son of George F. and Lydia (Hicks) Greiner, Sr. He later served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a painter for several area painting contractors for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed watching sports and was a great storyteller. He will be greatly missed by all.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family in the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be at a later date in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
