SPENCER; Gerald A. Dunlop, 59, of 57 Wire Village Rd., died Friday, June 25 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis after a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of 22 years, Lois A. (Beer) Dunlop, two sons; Gerald A. Dunlop, Jr. of Leicester, James Dunlop of Marstons Mills, two daughters; Candi McShera of Marstons Mills, Micayla L. Dunlop of Spencer, his mother Dorothy (Devault) Dunlop of Worcester, two brothers; Ronald Dunlop and his wife Patricia of Worcester, Timothy Dunlop and his wife Connie of Ormand Beach, FLA, 7 grandchildren, nieces and nephews a sister-in-law, Rita Dunlop of Westboro and his mother-in-law Janet Beer of Spencer.
He was pre-deceased by a brother William G. Dunlop.
He was born in Worcester and was the son of Wilson Dunlop.
Jerry graduated from Worcester Boy's Trade. He was a commercial truck tire salesman for 35 years, working for Commercial Truck Tire Center in Worcester and previously TCI in Auburn. He was a member of the Cherry Valley American Legion.
Jerry lived life to the fullest. He was an avid hunter and golfer. He loved riding his Harley and was a Hot Rod enthusiast. Recently he fulfilled his lifelong dream and became the co-owner of Dunny's Tavern in East Brookfield.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 30 at 11 A.M. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made to either the Spencer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 147, Spencer, MA 01562 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
