Gina F. Basili

CHARLTON: Gina F. Basili, 59, of Charlton and formerly of Spencer, died Friday, March 15th in Overlook Health Center, Charlton after a long battle with cancer. She leaves her son, Kevin M. Wood of Spencer, her brothers, Robert Basili of Rutland and Andrew Basili of Charlton, her former husband and good friend Kevin J. Wood of Cherry Valley, her favorite "little boo", Gabriel Monette and her stepchildren, Molly and Emerson Murphy. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Robert and Carole (Mitchell) Basili and later graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer and attended Worcester State College. She was a longtime preschool teacher and most recently at Discovery School House in Cherry Valley before retiring last year due to illness.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 20th at 11 a.m. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the services on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
