SPENCER: Gladys M. (Archambault) Archambault, 99, formerly of 67 Maple St.,
died Sunday, June 3 at St. Francis Home in Worcester following a long
illness.
She was the wife of Louis "Pete" Archambault who died in 1985.
She leaves a sister Rita C. Lamoureux of Spencer, two nephews Paul Lamoureux
of Boston and Ray Archambault of Webster, and a niece Elaine Lorion of
Shrewsbury. She is predeceased by a brother Arthur Archambault and a sister
Jeanette Allaire.
Mrs. Archambault was a bridal consultant and jewelry buyer for 45 years at
Sharfman's Jewelers in Worcester before retiring in 1977.
She graduated from Commerce High School and later Becker College both in
Worcester. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and its St. Anne's
Sodality. She loved traveling.
Born in Worcester she was the daughter of Arthur J. and Melvina (Ledoux)
Archambault and lived here since 1944.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 6 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of
the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen
of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will be held prior to the
funeral on Wednesday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made to Mary,Queen of the Rosary Memorial Fund, 60 Maple St.,
Spencer, Ma. 01562.
