Harold W. Russell

LEICESTER: Harold W. "Harry" Russell, Jr., 71, of Leicester, died Sunday, Jan. 28th. at UMASS Memorial, Lake Ave., Worcester.He leaves his sister, Pauline A. Dumont of Leicester with whom he lived, his nephew, Brad C. Dumont and his wife Kristen of Hattieville, AR, his nieces; Jessica M. Wisniewski and her husband Erik of No.Brookfield, his niece and goddaughter, Kimberly H. Dumont and her fiance Matthew Galko of Catawba, NC., great nieces; Natalie, Skylar, Mikayla and Alaina, and several cousins.
Harry worked in the maintenance dept. at Hanover Insurance in Worcester for 41 years, retiring in 2017.
He was very active in the Knights of Columbus where he was a member of the Leicester Council #4528, a Fourth Degree member of the John Cardinal Wright Assembly in Worcester and former Colour Corps Commander. He was a member of St. Joseph/St. Pius X Parish and was an avid Red Sox Fan.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Harold W. and Helen B. (Kolodziejczak) Russell, Sr. and later graduated from Leicester High School.
Harry's funeral will be held on Friday, Feb. 2nd. from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a funeral Mass at Noon in St. Pius X Church, 1163 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster. A calling hour will be held on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 am. in the funeral home prior to the Mass.
