Harry J. Carlson

SPENCER; Harry J. Carlson 86, of 242 Main St., died Wednesday, June 22 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, 119 Belmont St., Worcester.

He was the husband of Evelyn I. (Dion) Carlson who died in 1999. He leaves two sons Harry J. "Jack" Carlson of Webster and Ronald E. Carlson of Spencer, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A son Dean Carlson died in 1973.

Harry was a custodian at Spencer's Lake Street School for many years, retiring in 1999.

He was born in Spencer, the son of Josephine Landroche, attended Spencer Schools and later served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Gaudette-Kirk Post 138, American Legion in Spencer.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 25 from the J.Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling will be held from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to the Mass.
