Henry A. Vassar,79, of 71 Merriam Dist., died Saturday, Jan. 8 at home.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Pauline L. (Conner) Vassar, two sons Gary C. and his wife Roseana Vassar of Norwood, and Jeffrey D. and his wife Cheryl E. Vassar of Millbury, a daughter Sharon E. and her husband Calvin J. Cooper of Hildebrand, N.C., a brother Alfred Vassar of Holden, four grandchildren Catherine and Christopher Cooper and Sarah and Brian Montigny, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers Eugene and Francis Vassar and a sister Leona Particianone.
Mr. Vassar worked at Millbury Motors in Auburn for 9 years, before retiring in 1990. He previously worked for 31 years at Thom McCann Co. in Auburn.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Frank J. and Eva (Lamoureux) Vassar.
He was a member of Greenville Baptist Church in Rochdale. He enjoyed his family, woodworking, and camping.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 11a.m. in the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester, followed by burial in Gore Cemetery, No.Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, Jan. 10 from 5 to 7p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Greenville Baptist Church Building Fund, 700 Pleasant St., Rochdale, Ma. 01542.
