BROOKFIELD: Immaculata Antanavica 29, of 4 School House Cross Rd, died Sunday, July 28 at home following a lengthy illness. She leaves her parents, Michael Antanavica of Spencer, and Roberta (Welch) Antanavica, her brothers Garrett Antanavica and his wife Elizabeth of Tyngsboro, and Quinn Antanavica of Spencer, her sisters Marci Prockett and her husband David of Hudson, and Jenny Antanavica at home. She also leaves her paternal grandmother Judy Antanavica of Leicester. She is predeceased by her brother Shamal Antanavica Barr, her sisters Tynisha and Joslyn Antanavica, her paternal grandfather Theodore Antanavica, and her maternal grandparents Robert and Theresa Welch. She was born in Les Cayes, Haiti and moved to her adoptive home with the Antanavicas on February 7, 1998. Immaculata attended day habilitation at Venture Community Services in Sturbridge and previously attended special education at Southern Worcester County Educational Collaborative. Immaculata loved Mickey Mouse, SpongeBob, and Miley Cyrus. She had many close friends at the Venture Day Hab as well as strong bonds with her loving personal caregivers. She will always be remembered for her endearing smile.
There are no calling hours. The funeral service and Catholic Rite of Committal will be held graveside at 11:00 am on Friday August 2, 2024, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Pine St, Leicester MA. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
