Irene Carey

ONSET: Irene (Taberner) Carey, 93, of West Central Ave. and formerly of Leicester died Friday, Sept. 16 in Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth.
She leaves a son; Lawrence B. Carey of Onset, two daughters; Sheila I. Buzulis and her husband Michael of Millbury and Cheryl D. Swift and her husband Gerald of North Smithfield, R.I., a brother; Ernest Taberner, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Duxbury, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Carey was born in Oxford, daughter of Ernest and Flora (Pilkington) Taberner. She graduated from Leicester High School. She was a secretary for many years at Paintland of Milford. She enjoyed going shopping with her daughters and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral Services and burial in Cherry Valley Cemetery are private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 142, Rochdale, MA 01542. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing funeral arrangements.
