SPENCER: James P. Bouley, 78, of Spencer, died Thursday, Aug. 1st at his home following a long illness. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Winifred "Winnie" J. (Duffy) Bouley, his son; James P. Bouley, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Spencer and his daughter; Colleen B. Briggs and her husband Stephen of No.Brookfield, his grandchildren; Eleanor J. and Dexter J. Briggs and Caitlin M. Bouley.Jim was a programmer for the former Heald Machine in Worcester for 18 years prior to his retirement.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Joseph and Jeannette (Moquin) Bouley and later graduated from David Prouty High School in 1963. He then attended Worcester Junior College before entering the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon completion of active duty, he received his bachelor's degree from New England School of Engineering & Technology in Worcester. Jim was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter. He was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish.
Jim's funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6th. from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Military Honors will be held prior to the church service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Calling hours are Monday, Aug. 5th. from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, 46 Maple St., Spencer or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN38105.
