James M. Hennessy

OAKHAM: James M. Hennessy,64, died Tuesday, June 13th. at his home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He leaves his wife and best friend of 13 years, Lynn M. (Plaszewski) Hennessy, his son; Michael Hennessy of Worcester, step son; Shayne Beardsley of Concord, NH. and step daughter; Camiele Goddard of Spencer, his brothers; Richard Hennessy and his wife Dawn of New Braintree and Dennis Hennessy and his wife LuAnn of Cherry Valley, his sister; Patricia Vanasse of Oakham, grandchildren; Kaela, Damon and Abby, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers; John, Edward and Donal Hennessy and sisters Kathleen Soucie and Eileen Hennessy.
Jim was a longtime ironworker for the Local 57 in Worcester, then with Local 7 out of Boston
He was born in Worcester the son of John A. and Frances X. (Doran) Hennessy and later graduated from Leicester High School. He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed teaching the younger kids coming up how to hunt it was his passion.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 23 at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1161 Main St., Leicester. Calling hours at the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester are from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent Cancer & Wellness Center, 1 Eaton Pl., Worcester, Ma., 01608.
