Janet M. Caika

LEICESTER: Janet M. Caika,75, of Leicester, died Monday, July 3rd. at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. She leaves her sisters; Linda A. Caika and Gail A. Caika both of Leicester with whom she lived, her niece; Wendy Normandin and her husband Jon of Monson and her nephew; John Poswiatoski and his wife Kathi of Wales. She is predeceased by her brother Edward Poswiatoski who died in 2014.
Janet worked for an insurance agency in Worcester for 39 years, retiring in 2011.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Sigmund J. and Regina (Skrocki) Caika and later graduated from Leicester High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Worcester State College. She was a member of St. Joseph/St. Pius X Parish. Janet enjoyed travelling along with her sisters, music and was an avid reader.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 7th. from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m in St. Pius X Church, 1161 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either Leicester Public Library Trustees, 1136 Main St., Leicester 01524 or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
