Jeannette C. Gebo

SPENCER: Jeannette C. (Cournoyer) Gebo, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March
18th, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James F. Gebo;
her children. Ronald P. Gebo and his wife Danielle of Spencer, David P. Gebo and his wife
Darcy of Worcester, and Donna M.Gebo of Spencer; 2 sisters, Lucille Lamoureux and her
husband, Paul of Worcester, and Pauline Morin of Grafton; a brother, Philip Cournoyer and
his wife, Joan of Worcester; 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Thomas, Elizabeth, Matthew, TImothy,
Matthew, Andrew, Amy, Samuel, Emily and Kimberly; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, William "Billy" Cournoyer and Robert "Bobby" Cournoyer.
Jeannette was born in Worcester and raised in Millbury, daughter of the late William & Laura
(Lavallee) Cournoyer. She excelled in her studies at Holy Name High School and continued to
be successful in her work. She followed her children to school and worked in the cafeteria at
Maple Street and continued her career as a receptionist for All America Financial. After retiring,
she filled her time with her grandchildren and became the cherished Mémère that we all know
and love. She enjoyed sharing her passions of cooking, gardening, knitting, and learning with
all. Jeannette devoted her life to being the glue of her family. The family would like to extend
their gratitude to the JHC Hospice crew for their extreme compassion, care, and for bringing
comfort when it was most needed.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 22th from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL
HOME, 23 Maple Terrace with a Funeral Mass at 11AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7
Church St., Spencer. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9 to 10:30 AM in the funeral
home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made
to the Food Pantry at Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, 46 Maple St., Spencer.
