LEICESTER: John A. Joseph, 57, of Leicester, died suddenly but peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 31st.  "Johnny" was born in Worcester, to Hanna J. and Marilyn M. (Brown) Joseph, who of course adored him and devoted themselves to his well-being and happiness.  He leaves his sister Maria Joseph of Charlestown and sister Jennifer Barris and her husband Michael of Paxton, his nephew Nicholas Barris, his niece Hannah Barris, his uncle Raymond Brown and his wife Carol of Blackstone, and his aunt Joan Robin and her husband Armand also of Blackstone, and many cousins.

Johnny was born as he lived - sweet, loveable and good.  He also lived his life with an uncommon grace despite hardships most could not bear.  In his youth, he was an All-Star baseball player and wonderful teammate and was sought after by many teams and coaches.  He spent hours and hours playing in the backyard and town baseball fields, watching Red Sox games, and even listening to them on the radio when falling asleep.  He was also a great music fan whose stereo filled the air with classic rock as he introduced us to bands whose music we still enjoy to this day.  He eventually developed a green thumb and took up planting, and also loved to cook and tend to his aquarium fish.  His gentle, quiet spirit will be eternally missed.

Private funeral services and burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, are being held at the convenience of the family.  If inclined, donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness ("NAMI").
The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is assisting the family with arrangements.
