HOLDEN; Joseph Leon Cote, 81, died Sunday, May 12 in his home surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Nancy May Cote, his daughter, Alethea May Cote Dorgan and her wife Gennifer of Worcester, a sister, Elaine Arsenault and her husband Michael of Sutton, his brother Don Cote, his son, Daryl Cote, and several nieces and nephews. Born in Oxford, he was the son of Joseph Leon & Marie S. (Gallant) Cote. Joseph received bachelor's degrees in political science and Greek philosophy at Boston University. He previously worked at Altrui Trucking in R.I., and for the last 25 years at Tri-State Truck Center in Shrewsbury as a Sales Operations Manager, retiring in 2023. He was a classical music aficionado and enjoyed collecting and restoring antique phonographs and collecting records. He was also an avid reader. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 4pm in the Leicester Unitarian Church, 5 Washburn Sq., Leicester, MA. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery in Leicester at a later date. Donations in Joseph's name may be made to the Leicester Unitarian Church, 5 Washburn Sq., Leicester, MA 01524.The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is assisting the family with arrangements.
