Joyce I. (Gauthier) Wilson-Mitchell

SPENCER; Joyce I. (Gauthier) Wilson-Mitchell, 70, of 91 Pleasant St., died tragically, Saturday, August 1 in an automobile accident on Rte. 20 in Charlton.

She leaves her husband of six months, Karl E. Mitchell, two sons and four daughters; Lynne Lengel of Thompson, CT., Patricia Hall of Charlton, Wendy Boutillette of Webster, Roger F. Wilson, Jr. of No. Brookfield, Bonnie Lowell and George H. Wilson both of Charlton, three sisters; Elaine Johnson and Barbara Wheeler both of Woodstock, CT., Doris Prouty of Webster, 6 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and 7 step-children.

She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Roger F. Wilson, Sr. in 2003.

Born in Oxford, she was the daughter of Jean B. & Ellen (Strack) Gauthier.

She was a graduate of Oxford High School. She was previously a member of the American Legion Post 138 Women's Auxiliary in Spencer and more recently the American Legion Post 58 in Oxford.

She will be lovingly missed by all.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 6 at 12 p.m. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Calling hours will precede the Service from 10a.m. to 12p.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the UMASS Memorial Foundation Fund, c/o Trauma Center, Suite 100, 365 Plantation St., Worcester, MA., 01605-2395.
